  • Coffee Intrigue?

Did Susan get the coffee plants from Laurel?

I wonder if that was Laurel's way of testing Ivanova, and had plans to scoop her up into the conspiracy later on?
What a wonderful world you live in. -
Yeah, well, the rent is cheap, the pay is decent and I get to make my own hours.

This is originally what the spinoff series would have been about.

It really has to be a conspiracy, coffee plants are kinda big, take years to grow, and then the seeds have to be cleaned, and fermented and washed, and such coffee beans have to be roasted just right... not to mention that she would have needed a grinder.

It clearly is impossible that Ivanova could have made real coffee by herself.

It has to be a conspiracy.

(... or JMS just didn't care to check the realities of coffee production before coming up with the idea of someone growing their own coffee)
Such... is the respect paid to science that the most absurd opinions may become current, provided they are expressed in language, the sound of which recalls some well-known scientific phrase

Well, a grinder is the very least of her problems. We always buy whole bean coffee and use a spice grinder to prepare them because it grinds them just the way we like them.

It was the Vorlons. (But don't tell them I told you.)

No need, they already know. They've always been here.

They have been here since the beginning of time. A long time to wait. And that's why they needed the coffee...

It also fits with the Shadows:
Without any coffee, they always needed 1000 years to wake up...!

The last time I noted the Shadows invite someone for a drink, I seem to remember it was tea being served - chamomile I believe. Maybe that is why they slept for a 1,000 years
