Space Rangers

So I was flipping around tonight and ran across an old show from 1993 called "Space Rangers." There is an IMDB page about the show, it looks like there are only 6 episodes (with only 1 airing in the US). What struck me about the show were the number of actors in common with B5 as well as some functional similarities.

I started watching because Claudia Christian was on. Turns out Marjorie Monahan was a regular cast member and I thought Mack from "gallery" was on it (wrong actor, but a similar looking guy). Another cast member on the show was in Convictions.

"Space Rangers" had CG, something similar to jump gates, and a bunch of "rangers" that functioned as an interstellar police force. I didn't see any writers or directors in common with B5, but I might not be looking hard enough.

Anyone know anything about this show? It doesn't appear to be on DVD in the US, but maybe it is in the UK?

I seem to recall that three of the six episodes ran on the network. Ultimately all six came out on VHS.

Actually, the first four episodes aired on CBS before it was pulled. It was CBS's attempt to jump on the SciFi bandwagon, which didn't excite their audience. Apparently, ION TV has aired a "movie" last Saturday that was the first three episodes back to back to back. They didn't air one last night, so I'm not sure if or when they will show the rest. Claudia Christian is a guest star in one of the episodes that CBS didn't air (they all eventually aired on the SciFi Channel).

Looks like there is a UK DVD set, but no US release.
