Well, since B5 was censored by the uk during its first run, I would think the ''uncut'' line would mean no omited scenes (primarily the ones with violence). Strictly from a story-wise perspective, this is a good thing (for instance they edited out more than a few seconds in the G'kar/Vir elevator scene in ''Comes the Inquisitor'').
Sacrilege!
- The DVDs are not censored by any means, though in a few cases the episodes are modified, to better enhance the story.
For instance, a scene from the B5 TV movie ITB is now included in one of the episodes. Also, in Inquisitor Sheridan now says East, but lip-mimes West. Scary stuff.

B5 on SciFi channel

I know here on the uk satellite, it has more recently been shown on the Bravo channel. Perhaps this suggests the rights have been passed on.
Also, when the sci-fi channel showed it, they advertised it as Babylon 5 'Uncut'. Does anyone know what the difference is, and which version is on the Dvds ?

I think it's more that the site admins have cultivated laziness to a higher art form. Other than their annoying flash ads and front page, the rest of the site is rarely updated, and there's more than a few sad show pages that lurk in it's deeper corners.

I don't think they've ever removed a show they stopped showing from their site ;P

Then why haven't they removed B5 from the site? Still in negotiations?

Either way... it's all out on DVD now, so it's really not that big of a deal if you ask me ;P Still wish they did the Crusade ep once a week though.

ya that what happened up here in canada, Space(our Sci-fi network) could not renew the syndication rights, but this happend to all the B5 franchise items not just TV syndication rights.
The CCG was killed at the begning of the 6 or 7 expansion, which killed the whole company a mounth later (which show that B5 was there only real money maker).
Why WB did this no one really knows, the rumor was thet they wanted every thing in there hands so they could refranchise the product with the launch a new B5 project.
But that was just the rumor seeing that nothing came out after the mass recall of the B5 franchise. Only now are we seeing ne B5 products like the new D20 RPG.

Not likely in the short term - they ran B5 forever in the early evenings, daily, literally until it ran out of gas. I think they repeated the whole show 3 or 4 or more times before the ratings finally started to drop. Then it got shifted to mornings, then quietly bumped off. Right now, any decent rerun spots (5PM and later) are all taken by shows they want to push, usually SG-1 and such. So if it's on some rotation or queue, it only going to come on in the filler zone, mornings or afternoons.
If the new B5 project pans out, and is successful, we're more than likely to see it put back on the schedule in a good viewing slot.
