  • B5 Season DVD Sets: $ 26 w/free shipping at DeepDiscount.com

I decided to come out of "lurker" mode and register to let everyone know that the B5 Season box sets are available for $ 26 each with free shipping at www.deepdiscount.com

I just added Seasons 3 and 4 to my collection. DeepDiscount is a very nice site I have used for years and always has free shipping. I'm sure others here would agree...

Here's a direct link to the results page there for my Babylon 5 title search:

Interesting... The set of seasons 1, 2, & 3 costs more then the set of all 5 seasons. And the set of all 5 seasons costs more then what you can buy all 5 seasons individually for. Am I the only one that finds that odd?

Different releases, different retail prices, different promotions in effect... ???? Good question, but regardless... I thought the individual Season sets were at a good price (I had a few already and wanted to add the rest.. AND I missed the Best Buy promotion a few weeks ago...)

        Correct viewing order

        Hi,

First post and probably a topic that has been discussed to death previously.

I am in the process of convincing everyone I know to watch B5. What I therefore need is advice on where exactly to place the movies in conjunction with the series. For example, In th Beginning, should this be at the beginning, or between Series 1 & 2. Any guidance would be gratefully received.

Also, can someone confirm the titles of the official B5 books. I know there was a Londo trilogy and a Bester trilogy, but I can;t seem to find the names and the correct order anywhere.

Finally, received TLT in the post last week. Pre-order from play.com. Enjoyed it and really hope there are more to come.

"In the Beginning" was produced 1998 after the fourth season.

I for one watch In the Beginning after the whole show (and even the other movies except "A Call to Arms" cause this one is sort of the pilot for the NEXT show "Crusade").

For me it gives to much away from the first 4 seasons to watch it at the beginning.
To me it works far mor better as a prequel in which you finally see the things which were revealed and discussed in the show -> it sums B5 up quite good imo and gives you the drive to start another run through the whole show.

"The Gathering" is the pilot and should be watched before the very first episode.
The other movies ("Thirdspace" and "River of Souls") can easily pushed back after the end of the show -> although "Thirdspace" takes place in the fourth season and "River of Souls" before the last episode "Sleeping in Light" from timeline standpoint, they distract from the pacing and "Thirdspace" has some continuity flaws which weakens the show and/or the movie if put in the fourth season.

They're $23.99 at Amazon, but you need at least a $25 order for free shipping. Also, they have a 12-minute "exclusive interview" with JMS posted with the DVD listings that you can download.
