Call to Arms
Ah, and now something to look forward to (except for the last 2 Dark Tower books)...
I'm a bit surprised that Call to Arms is included here and not with Crusade. Plans still exist to release Crusade, yes? I hope so.
Who would have thought that DVDs would be so popular and profitable that cancelled half-seasons-worth of a show are coming out!
I was still nervous about B5 on DVD when it was first being released. After the whole VHS fiasco, I was skittish that the whole series wouldn't make it out.
Any word about Legend of the Rangers?

Legend o' Rangers
Not particularly, no. If it comes out, I'll buy it just to have the complete B5 universe.
Consider it a case of "Superman IV Syndrome." I'll buy it to have the complete set, even if I don't really want it.
*shudder* I am so pathetic...

This is great!
I recently saw Legend of the Rangers, and it's way better than River Of Souls, and more entertaining than Thirdspace. I think it's of similar quality to Crusade, and many of the B5 episodes (although there are many B5 episodes that are better). It was certainly something that could have turned out to be a great series.Last edited by Anders; 05-20-2004, 01:19 AM.

JMS mentioned last year that that Rangers pilot would not be included in the B5 TV Movie set because it isn't as closely related to the original series as the others are. (They feature mostly the series regular cast and were all produced by Babylonian productions either during or between seasons of the series.)
Babylon 5:The Movies (set) = B5:TMoS?

Now the question is, what version of the gathering will be included????
I'm so hoping that it will be the original, as we already have the new edit.
I would have liked maybe additional languga tracks like spanish, and movie previews, I remember TNT had amazing one minute trailers for the movies and the series, I hope it's all there!Marco

I would think "obviously not" For one thing, you can't make the initals match.
------------------------------------------------------------
Indeed? I think not. A few examples:
B5: TV Movies of the Series
B5: The Movies of Sorts
B5: The MovieS
B5: Theatre Movie out Sike!
There are probably better ones, but these were the only ones i could think of offhand....

OK, I should have said "You can't make the initials fit into any title that adults at a real company would use to sell a product."Sorry if this caused any confusion.
And no, The Gathering will certainly not be the original cut (unless both versions are included on the same disc) because the re-edit is JMS's own "producer's cut" and the closest we'll ever get to what he envisioned when he first wrote the script. He actually got Warner Bros. to eat several thousand dollars in costs and restart from scratch when they produced the first DVD after he learned that they were mastering the original edit of The Gathering for that release. Ditto the Columbia House VHS release, which switched to the 1998 cut after supplies of the 1993 version were sold out. I don't really have a problem "double dipping" for TG and ItB since we should be getting new transfers, DD 5.1 sound remixes, extras and a commentary track on each.
