  • favorite episode?

For me, the most powerful episode in the entire series was "Za'h'dum." The writing was awesome, the direction amazing, and the moment where Sheridan leaps teared me up and caught my breath. My personal favorite, anyway. Does anybody else have any favorites?

This was talked about a bit earlier. My personal favourite tends to be a tie between Sleeping in Light and War Without End. Sleeping in Light for the emotional impact... War Without End due to the fact that my jaw has never fully recovered from the jawdrop that caused...

Since the two coolest scenes in the series (IMO) were The Narn Picket's Charge and The Deathride of the Churchill and they both occurred in Severed Dreams I guess my choice is pretty easy!
I believe that when we leave a place, part of it goes with us and part of us remains. Go anywhere in the station, when it is quiet, and just listen. After a while, you will hear the echoes of all our conversations, every thought and word we've exchanged. Long after we are gone .. our voices will linger in these walls for as long as this place remains. But I will admit .. that the part of me that is going .. will very much miss the part of you that is staying.

                GROPOS!

hey, my character had a few good scenes and lines in that one!

but seriously, GROPOS was good because despite all of the typical brawling and stuff that went on while the marines were at the station, they showed the ultimate sacrifice made by these men and women and showed us their human frailties to boot. also the relationship between Dr. Franklin (may Richard rest in peace) and his father was special too.

it was a great ep on many levels. but of course, that could be said of virtually every ep of B5.

JMS is just a tremendous writer and i love hearing his commentaries on the DVDs.

Keffer, if you liked that episode, you may be interested in the irony that Paul Winfield, Franklin's father in that episode, died just a couple of month ago.

                    War Without End

I love Michael O'Hare as Sinclair (and more ) and the entire story is fantastic! Zathras and the conclusion of "Babylon Squared".

This is gonna sound strage but " A view from the gallery". I like seeing B5 from another perspective, and it gives you a new angle on familiar characters. although I am tempted to name the episode (forget which one) where Byron kills himself 0- "at last", I thought "we've got rid of that annoying prat"

"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

"Severed Dreams" in second place and "The fall of Centauri Prime" in first. Just a big Londo-fan I guess...

For me it's The Long, Twilight Struggle - that's the one I always watch when I need a B5 fix (just watched it last week, actually ).

The acting is stunning... even if I get a queasy stomach every once in a while. How dare they???
