  • Seasons 1-5 $19.99 @ Best Buy

I haven't seen this mentioned, so I'll do the honors. This week Best Buy stores have all five full seasons of Babylon 5 available for $19.99 per season. So, if you're on a budget and don't already own all five seasons, this is the time to grab them!

p.s. This offer is also available at http://www.bestbuy.com (plus shipping) if you don't have a store nearby.

This is interesting. You've seen preview discs around, but this one is odd: the first seasons of both La Femme Nikita and B5 sold together:

Judging from the shows that they're doing it with, it seems to be a WB thing.
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

Can't even really think of anything else to relate them, other than Nikita making stabs at long story form the way B5 did. Of course Nikita went from good to "we're going to pull a complete shocker out of our ass readjusting the plot completely... every episode" that was way way overwrought and pathetic. And then Alias came along and did the Exact. Same. Thing. *sigh*

I think I still have a gouge on a S2 disc that more or less kills playback on "Knives" and "The Long Twilight Struggle" on any player, so maybe I'll grab one of these. If the wallet doesn't scream in terror. I foresee ramen in my future.

Have you tried a disc repair kit? I have one and it works for me.

Ever notice that Top Ramen isn't so top?[/Seinfeld]

Actually, there are some fantastic ramen dishes. Unfortunately, most Westerners only know the term to describe the cheap instant noodles which Radhil alludes to.

I have been there before, my friend.

I saw that too recently and I think it raised my eyebrows right off my skull.

Have to say that I never really liked the La Femme Nikita series. I really enjoyed the oriinal French movie, thinking it was a stylishly done thriller. The US remake with Bridget Fonda (Point Of No Return) I thought was fairly flat, even in the segments that were shot-for-shot recreations of the original. The few episodes of the series I did see impressed me only with their entire unimpressiveness.
