  • Comic Con, is this quote accurate?

Those of you who went to comic con, is the quote at the end of this article accurate? Seems rather "interesting".

    http://www.comicbookresources.com/ne...m.cgi?id=11380

"And there was one near-bombshell: JMS was asked if he would consider another series instead of these direct-to-DVDs.

"Yes, I had hoped to announce something at this convention, but it didn't happen," JMS said. "Keep your keys on the [message] boards.""

I'm still waiting for the file with the recording of the JMS spotlight but my memory says that this is misleading. From what I remember, the question was whether JMS would ever consider doing another series. NOT "instead of these direct-to-DVDs". My impression, and that's all it is, is that whatever it he was referring to was *not* B5 related at all.

Jon? Doug? Anybody else got anything to help out?

Or anyone with Xbox Live? I believe Microsoft put a full video recording of the panel on it.

If that's the one I think it is, Shabaz, I think that would be the TLT panel. The question that ljg referred to was at the end of JMS's spotlight.

JMS did make that last quote, but not in regard to another Babylon 5 series. He did talk about doing another series in *general* that sounded like it had nothing to do with B5. I believe that quote was in regards to that and the reporter was not paying that great of attention.

Whew. Thanks, Jon. I'd've had to hand in my Junior Reporter Club card if I'd missed a potential bombshell like that. As it happens, though, Jon and I were pretty close to the microphone for JMS's panel so I think we'd both remember if the question ended that way.

Yeah...if there was announced B5 I would have been jumping up and down running down the halls streaking with B5 written on my chest and back in sharpie. May have won the costume contest too.

Umm...Jon...the costume contest was over by then, I think (thank the Universe for small favors).

Surely that would deserve an honorary mention though?

It's my considered opinion that the streaking part of the 'costume' would be inappropriate for San Diego Comic Con and more appropriate for DragonCon. It's a cultural thing.

                      IMNVHO, of course...

DragonCon: Very pretty young lady dressed in 3 strategically placed strips of duct tape. And a leash. And 4" heels Maybe opera length gloves, I'm not sure...I didn't want to stare after all. And she was hardly the only one wearing that little.

You'd be right at home streaking there.
