I'm back, and..very behind. So I'll try to get this show finished soon. Bester shows up on the station again, and like always, they greet him with resentment. This time, though, Bester actually has information that can help our band of heroes defend their image as Clarke has set up a situation that makes it look like they're blowing up civilian transports. Of course, Bester has a personal stake in all of this.
Bester wants to go to Z'ha'dum to see if there's any tech leftover that can possibly help his lover in exchange for this information. We see how strong Lyta really is in this situation, and she just keeps getting scarier. Garibaldi's thread is developed as messages start showing up to him. So..he resigns. I remember the first time I saw this, and I never would have seen that coming. I thought he was going to leave the show as so many other 'transfers" or "death of personalities" had led to. I'm glad I was wrong. Though it's tragic what happens later this season.
"Disneyplanet" is mentioned here. A crackup, as with every other cultural reference in B5. And there's an even bigger laugh for me when Zach is in the customs area and says "it might be the Second Coming and I'm five sins behind on penance." Then the Three Kings walk in. JMS is hilarious.
Bester's "love" is mentioned again here..and I notice that her name isn't the same as (spoilers maybe ahead for those who haven't read the psicorps trilogy) Montoya who he was in love with in Bester Ascendant? It makes me very confused. Anyone know the explanation of this? Or did I miss something?
