Never mind my last post on the spoiler thread...I ended up breaking down and bought the dvd anyways. Being the fact that the Folsom Best Buy only had 8 copies ordered in and only were about 4 left when I went into the store plus the limited number of special Comics that were issued at best buy. I decided to give up a couple days of food to get this once in a lifetime special tribute to Andreas and Richard comic. I know that's sad I'm giving up some food for Babylon 5 but I figured next week when I get paid I can get the soundtrack and food that I do want. So anyways my review of the dvd will be coming soon..btw, how's the soundtracks as well?

I didn't even notice the sticker on mine until I unwrapped it while driving on the interstate

The comic was a nice little surprise.

No, my copy has the B5 logo and a picture of the Station. As for the comic, note that not all of the DVDs are even supposed to have the bonus comic. Amy posted this tip over on the moderated newsgroup:

To those hoping to find the bonus comic being given away with _some_ copies
of TLT at Best Buy, be aware that the only distinguishing mark is an itty
bitty, teeny tiny red sticker with the Best Buy logo that says "EXCLUSIVE
COMIC BOOK INSIDE." It is _very_ small. Also, the price marked on the
item's sticker is $22.99, but it rings up at $17.99 when you get up to the
    register.
    That's a big help.

Nope. I got it from "make_it_so_marketing". Very nice guys, at least so it seems. By the way, for anyone who might be interested: At the moment, there are a couple of copies of the comic offered on ebay, at reasonable prices. So if you're interested, you might want to take a look.

The dvd has a Babylon 5: The Lost Tales logo on it and has a picture of the station on it, though no insert. Sounds like you got a strange copy.

    WTF???

Who opens a dvd like that to steal the comic? That's big time bad Karma there.

I got a raincheck and the 'suggested retail' is 22.99. I also saw that he hadn't changed the preferred contact and it was set to 'mail'. Hell no!
I told him the price should be 17.99 and my preferred contact was my cell phone. The second copy came out with the price unchanged and the phone number being my home.
Never...ever...going to shop there. Not a friendly feel at all. Granted this was tuesday and within twenty minutes they had forty people in line... If my copy does not come in with the comic, I'm going to vocally complain and get a manager involved.
I have pre ordered mine from Amazon as well, but want that comic.

    Speaking of...
The comic is a memorial to G'kar and Franklin. There is no setting because it is a situation that did not actually happen in the timeline but is a scene that JMS imagined might have happened. (you know what I mean)
It's not a full size comic either folks. This is a small piece that was created out of love for two talented actors and the characters they played.

    ::sniff::

    I want my dvd!

Thanks Pam. I'll cross my fingers that it works out for ya. I went to Virgin Megastore in SF, and there were none out front..it was all kinda hidden and I had to search hard for it. The lack of promotion is not making me happy. I'm watching teh special features now, while at work lol

It doesn't really say in the comic, but I'd assume it's around the time of the DVD. It's after G'kar came back from adventuring with Lyta at least. It doesn't really matter though honestly. It's more of a tribute to the actors than a key storyline component.

Just because there are only X number of copies on display does not mean there aren't more in the back room. I can't tell you how many times I've had somebody at Best Buy check stock on a new release that simply hasn't been put back out. Generally, they'll check stock on the computer first, and if you get somebody who's not totally brain-damaged, they're usually willing to go in the back and take a look, unlike Circuit City, where usually tell me they're out of stock and don't even bother to check, at which point, I drive two miles down the road to Best Buy and match the CC price with their flyer, so no harm done.
