on the "anyone know how to work an NSD powerball? can't quite figure it out yet and been trying for 2 days" ID"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

To those hoping to find the bonus comic being given away with _some_ copies
of TLT at Best Buy, be aware that the only distinguishing mark is an itty
bitty, teeny tiny red sticker with the Best Buy logo that says "EXCLUSIVE
COMIC BOOK INSIDE." It is _very_ small. Also, the price marked on the
item's sticker is $22.99, but it rings up at $17.99 when you get up to the
register.

Never mind my last post on the spoiler thread...I ended up breaking down and bought the dvd anyways. Being the fact that the Folsom Best Buy only had 8 copies ordered in and only were about 4 left when I went into the store plus the limited number of special Comics that were issued at best buy. I decided to give up a couple days of food to get this once in a lifetime special tribute to Andreas and Richard comic. I know that's sad I'm giving up some food for Babylon 5 but I figured next week when I get paid I can get the soundtrack and food that I do want. So anyways my review of the dvd will be coming soon..btw, how's the soundtracks as well?
Alex"The Babylon project was our last best hope for peace..It Failed...In the year of the shadow war it became something greater...Our last best hope for victory..the year is 2260..the place Babylon 5"--Lt. Commander Susan Ivanova (opening main title narration from B5)
"Faith...Manages"--Delenn and Lennier from B5
"Oh, boy, is this GReAT!!"--Stephen Furst as Dorfman (Flounder) from Animal House
V--"For Victory. Go tell your friends"--Abraham Bernstein from V

I think I'll have a look during my lunchbreak.
EDIT: ....and that's it ordered. ú7.40 well spent, for an obsessive collector like me.Last edited by raw_bean; 08-01-2007, 09:02 AM.

For those who may not be able to get this but who are interested in the tribute to Rick/Franklin and Andreas/G'Kar, I've written a fairly detailed description/synopsis and I'll be happy to send it to anybody who PMs me. Remember, it's not a 'story' per se, it simply expands on what's said about them on the DVD.

I think we need to write to WB
Thanks Jan..he's not the only one that's made that mistake due to my first two initials.
I called BB back later in the afternoon and the flunkie I talked to said they only got 4 copies and were sold out!! I explained that I got in there first thing in the morning and the guy that morning said they got 44 copies but they hadn't come in yet!
After dealing with Walmart and my eyeglass fiasco, this is getting to be looking more like a Shadow conspiracy more and more. (see my LJ for details)
What the hell kind of marketing is this that A) Best Buy gets the special edition, and B) the stores only get less than 10 copies!? I'm not the only one, someone else somewhere reported their store only got 6 copies. I can understand 'limited edition' but this is rediculous!
I have a rain check (which is another near fiasco had I not been paying attention) in any case and can only hope that it's not the regular copy and has the comic. Otherwise, this middle age B5 fan is going to be getting very Minbari all over someone in charge of distribution.
(I told my daugher in a nutshell what the comic story was and she told me 'Now I know why you cried! I thought it was just because it had them in it.')
So, haven't yet to see it or get my hands on a copy. At least the numbers will look good to WB. Well yah! If you produce a smaller amount and they all sell out, it looks good to any number cruncher! Idiots.

Well then that just tears it.... and proves that the guy in the morning lied to me to cover his butt. 6 copies per store!?!
We are starting a campaign folks. That is not smart marketing and says that the distributors and possibly WB was being way too cautious and underestimating the demand.
