I am by no means convinced we have heard the "David Sheridan story" referred to by TDoFS and JMS's commentary to it. DS went to Centauri Prime because he was possessed by a keeper. Not because he was Sheridan's and Delenn's son, which is the point emphasised by JMS. I think JMS is keeping something in reserve here, for his own reasons, and just telling us that there IS a story there.
I believe that when we leave a place, part of it goes with us and part of us remains. Go anywhere in the station, when it is quiet, and just listen. After a while, you will hear the echoes of all our conversations, every thought and word we've exchanged. Long after we are gone .. our voices will linger in these walls for as long as this place remains. But I will admit .. that the part of me that is going .. will very much miss the part of you that is staying.

On this point I still do disagree with JDM a great deal. I think there's still much to DS that we don't know, and only bits of it have been alluded to, inferred, and mentioned even with regards to the keeper. I for one, would love to SEE these events unfold, not just hear about them second hand.

I agree that JMS' commentary clearly indicates that there is more to DS's story than we know, and perhaps even elements of what we think we know aren't as they seem.

Now, whether any of this has to do with TMoS, I don't know. But it is a tale I think will eventually be told in some form...perhaps in part three of the B5 trilogy (my dream still -- and how it could work? Look for my earlier posting on this matter about threads within the B5 universe).

At the end of Deconstruction, JMS said the Humans had evolved into the equiv of the Vorlons.

The Human aboard the Ship is a Ranger ( Badge is a dead giveaway on the side of the ship ).

Could the human be.....*****? Studying Delenn & Sheridan.

        nah...

But you never know JMS has a knack of putting the obvious right there in front of you - the answer may just have been staring you all in the face.

then again I could be wrong.

Yes, there's more to DS's story, and what we do know we haven't gotten in any real form of detail.

But the person leaving for the Vorlon homeworld? NO...somehow I don't see DS living for a million years.

Lyta or Talia may live for a million years but David Sheridan is human.

I always thought David Sheridan was a partly Minbari. Who knows the effect his keeper had on him long term - did part of the keepers dna pass to david? And there is an episode in davids future to speculate on.

And the references the man was searching for were 'Sheridan and Delenn'. Who else would do this?

When He is talking about them living on at the end is he talking about Sheridan and Delenn or the Alliance?

It is Just it has intrigued me ever since I watched it for the first time. I may be wrong but hey does that invalidate the question?

The Vorlonish human is a Ranger. Of course he will want to view the records of the founding of his order, even if he isn't David Sheridan (which we have not the slightest scrap of evidence to believe he is, especially given that he is referred to in the past tense by the historians at +100 years).

Kinda like you leaf through your favorite books before you pack them up when moving, so the +1 million Ranger leafs through the records of J&D.

I agree with the Grumbler on this one but it's also possible that he is a descendant of J&D. That would give him even more reason to review the old records.

Just my 2 cents on this one.

For some reason, I don't think a million years after J&D, descendancy really matters.

                      You bet your arse!
The thing no-one has mentioned yet is perhaps an animated series a bit like what George Lucas has recently done with Star Wars to bridge the gap to the next film. Or maybe an animated Crusade to finish it off. (we know it wont be connected to the new project directly)

Animated series are becoming popular again, another one on the horizon being Blake's 7 here in the uk (one of JMS's favourite shows)

Also hearing some of you comment on the old sets, didn't I read somewhere that they won awards for the set designs ?

You are correct, TMoS will not be an animated series. However I think that the point was that one of the other projects JMS mentioned in a recent post could be an animated series.

The Triluminary was capable of discovering similar DNA traits in Delenn and Sinclair after 1000 years , why not after a million as well?

At that point in time the Great Machine on Epsilon 3 is at the Rangers comand, so who knows what will happen that far in the future.

Sure, but after roughly 1000 generations, I'm not so sure if S&D ascendancy even matters. There'd be a whoppin' lot of S&D grand-grand-grand....-grandchildren runnin' around.

You're going to have to tell me your source for that, because I don't believe it's been said at any point in time that the Great Machine ever comes under Ranger control
