CE, you mentioned that David Sheridan could be in a major role in the movie. Has JMS given any hint as to what's going to happen him after he opens the thing with the Keeper inside ?

Maybe they can come to an agreement on some type of role for her in the movie, especially if it is about the telepath war.
What do you know? I made it sort of on topic.

And didn't she turn up on the season 3 (or was it season 4) box set as part of the recently recorded voiceovers of the cast members discussing one of the episodes? That portends very good things about writing her into a B5 movie. If she is in good enough graces to get asked back for contributions to the enhanced box set stuff, she should make the movie.

As for the David Sheridan thing...I said his story hasn't been told in full and that this could lead to a sweeping epic trilogy that could include the David element. We kind of saw what happened with David in the Centauri books, we did not see all of it and everything after. It was not a central point nor was it gone into in any detail. I would personally like to finally see David Sheridan.
What I said was all thought and speculation on just where all of this could well lead. Only time will tell.

All of that not withstanding, simply listen to JMS on his audio commentary tracks, whenever he has the chance to discuss Claudia -- he positively gushes glowingly over her, which (along with them appearing onstage together at some recent cons and riffing off one another) seems to indicate that they've long since buried that particular hatchet between them.
And which, I'm certain, will translate into a not-quite-insubstantial role for her in the new film. He knows and she knows that the entire fan community has long awaited this rapprochement and an onscreen reunion between she and Bruce and Jerry; and this would be one of the last chances to do so with style and panache, on the silver screen.
To say nothing of the storytelling reasons for Ivanova's presence in such a story (assuming it's the "Telepath War" tale):

Her personal family history with the Psi Corps.

Her established antipathy toward them and the significant emotional resonance that could be played onscreen.

Her captaincy of the EAS Titans, potentially on the frontlines of the war, and the "upward mobility" this could afford many of her friends in the flick.
Last edited by Leto II; 05-11-2004, 12:19 PM."Listen up, boy, or pornography starring your mother will be the SECOND-worst thing to happen to you today."

The story of what happens to David Sheridan after getting a keeper attached to him is told in the Centauri Trilogy.
Yes, but as we know, the novells and what JMS can do with the character are two different things. I'm not completely familiar with the matter, but how much has JMS given info to the authors of the Centauri Trilogy, TM trilogy and so on?

With Cannes here at last the (possible) announcement is nearly upon us.
My theory about the announcement is that it will take place during the festival ( which is why in my opinion he didn't give a specific date but just the Ides of May statement. )
We are still all scratching our heads wondering what it is.
Chances are JMS has thrown us all a curve ball.
Hell TMOS might not even be that relevant.

David Sheridan's "story" was easily deduced from on-screen events in any case. It wasn't hard to figure out that the Keeper "got" him in 2278 (why else were his parents on Centauri Prime in that year? Why else would Delenn assure John that "our son is safe"?), that he did something foolish with regard to the Centauri (thus the "scandal" alluded to in "Deconstruction") and that his parents went to rescue him. ("WWE", ItB) We know from "Sleeping in Light" that Vir is Emperor, the Centauri are back on speaking terms with the Alliance and that David Sheridan is in Ranger training and not a straight jacket - pretty good indirect evidence that the Drakh have been defeated and removed from CP and that David is Keeper-free. It just takes a little reading between the lines to see what had to have happened, and the CP trilogy more than fills this out.
