Jan you read my mind, I was thinking of starting a thread similar to this today after a heated discusion with a buddy of mine this morning.
He and I were debating whether or not The Lost Tales will be well recieved by the Fans. After all, look at some of the negative reviews that have been posted on these boards about Legend of the Rangers and Crusade. Both were attempts at getting additional stories told in the B5 universe. Gaspode's review does sound quite possitive, which is good. Yet, there's obviously high expectations for this new DVD, both on the side of Warner Bros as well as the fans.
I know I'll be welcoming this DVD with open arms and will likely be booking July 31st off of work to spend the entire day watching and re-watching The Lost Tales. I'm just hoping that this DVD is well recieved by everyone, so that future stories (Tales) are told.

I really, really hope a second installment is already on the way. Comic-con seems like the perfect place for them to announce it, to coincide with the release of the first part. Or maybe they have to leave it up to Warners to do it..

Well, whoever Gaspode may be, it's nice to see that his review is generally positive. The segments are the other way round from what I expected. It's maybe a bit worrying that he says the Lochley segment lags given that it's - what - only 35 minutes long? Some of the cinematography in the trailers does look nice though, and I guess the second segment is where the meat of it is, so maybe it lags because you know that stuff is coming.
B5 being deserted doesn't worry me all that much, as I assume that compared to the way it was in the past very little of it actually existed as a real set this time round for the extras to actually walk through. In the diaries we saw a lot of JMS wandering around waving vaguely at partial walls and greenscreens.

Very interesting...and how refreshing to actually see a mostly positive review of anything B5 related on AICN.

Since screeners are apparently being delivered to people now, here's your brand new thread to talk about the first of the Lost Tales disks, spoilers and all.
Seen the whole thing already? Post your thoughts here. Seen reviews with spoilers? Ditto. Story ideas? Remember not to post them.
TLT minus 11 days....
