Trust me..I'm sorry too..it would be an honor and thrill not just to meet a few B5 alumni but also to meet you guys. I've gone to a few message boards like Battlestar Galactica and others but I found this message board to be the best because everyone is so friendly and down to earth. No one here is harsh or anything. I wish other tv shows/movies message boards had people this nice. Perhaps I'll make the con next year!

Being that I wont be there... Please have fun and from Alex please tell all the wonderful B5 people I said hello from Northern California (Bruce, Tracy and JMS)

    Thanks
    Alex

The battle with the shadows more than lives up to the hype but I'd say the Franklin scenes are if anything even better. Touchy feely early 90's sci fi loved the quest with the "mystical answer from beyond" but as he said a quick kick in the head was what was needed here.

Perhaps I'm wrong but I always get the sense that JMS really focused in on these key scenes. Yes B5 was a great TV series but it was still a TV series so some corners had to be cut a little but at these vital moments you very rairly if ever get that.

Yup, definitely the same reaction. Anna's so creepy lol. You planning on coming to Comiccon still Alex?
First I must say I'm sorry but I can't make it to Comic Con. As much as I want to go more than anything else in this world and to meet Bruce and Tracy and of course JMS unfortunately funds are very very very tight in my budget right now. Hopefully JMS, Bruce and Tracy or anyone else from B5 will be attending something closer to Sacramento soon. I know when Jeff Conaway is cleaned up he attends these things too because my wife has actually met him and of course from what most people say is that he loves his fans. Down the road sometime I will have to attend another convention to meet B5 actors. I hope everyone does have a great time..please say hi to them when your down there!

Seeing the chemistry between Bruce and Melissa to me is one of the best ever. Melissa played already in the past one of the greatest characters in Little House on the Prarie as Half Pint but to play one of the creepiest characters in television history let alone Sci Fi/B5. Of course More Melissa in Z'ha'dum episode..

BTW, for Jan on the WWE thread..thanks for giving me more info on Zathras quote regarding the David info..that was really cool!

    The Battle

The Battle that is the centerpiece of this episode is absolutely devastating. it sends chills down my spine.

I think this is actually my favourite B5 episode of all.. Severed Dreams, Z'ha'Dum and Sleeping in Light are all within a whisker, but this is the one I feel real affection for. This is the story in full flood and at its peak. This is the one where I look back to the Gathering and Season 1 and it blows my mind to think it's even the same series. This is the one where everything comes together. Just breathtaking..

In response to this episode regarding the question of "Z" this is posted at midwinter.com (not a definite answer but as good as anything else.. It seems likely that the "Z Minus..." times refer to Z'ha'dum, but they might also refer to a more specific "Zero Hour."

This is a nice way to lead into the cliffhanger of the 3rd season. Seeing Anna at the end of the episode watching Delenn dropping the snow globe is still haunting because you now know that WWE really is true and that the future couldn't be avoided.

I really love this episode and always since the first time I've seen it and still today..hair stands on the arms and back of my neck.

    Group Watch: Shadow Dancing

Sheridan actually gathers all the forces together to do a big attack against the Shadows now, and it turns out they do a pretty good job. We're getting these weird "z minus" things in the episode...what the heck does that mean? I'm sure it'll light up the newsgroups.

We also see the sorta end of Franklin's walkabout, where he comes to terms with who he is..very literally. We've seen him fall apart from the stims, and get his ass kicked.

Sheridan and Delenn get closer, only to be interrupted by Anna showing up in the middle of the night, which is a nice little spot from WWE's future timeline where we can say "ah ha! That's what that was!" neatly tied up.

The battle's pretty nicely done, with a little bit of strategy here and there. It's much more telepath oriented than actual maneuver oriented like many of the first season battles were. A change in the times, a change in the enemy, I suppose.

I couldn't stop myself watching the last few episodes of this season. You just kinda have to keep going until it's over. Especially when it's at this point, so I didn't watch it with as detailed an eye as some of the earlier stuff because of the aforementioned flying through it. Also..don't have these scriptbooks yet
