Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

Yeah, it would be a shame if it was to disappear into the ether completely, after all the effort you put into writing it (glad I downloaded it when I did).
Not completely related, but whatever happened to the B5 fanfic archive? Does anyone remember that?

New Update: Apparently there wasn't a cease and desist from WB to Fordy (according to the mongoose boards), but that lulu took the book down because they "don't publish fanfiction." Now, since i want to have the other books (because I'm a dorky collector, I don't like small authors getting having their work just disappear on them, and it's nice to read these at work on pdfs...shh! don't tell my bosses), I'm going to start searching for online publishers to put those up.
RMcD mentioned an old B5 Fanfic Archive...I'm going to try to find that or whoever ran it. If anyone else has leads, let me know.
Edit: Found it...should have looked before I posted. http://www.jumpnow.de/ff/index.php Is that what you were talking about RMcD?

Errr...I don't like to come over all moderatorly but I have to point out that anything and everything B5 related is owned by WB. I can't encourage anybody here to publicly post that they're encouraging copyright/trademark infringement.

Yes. The entire B5 universe is owned by WB. It doesn't matter if it's published for monetary gain or not (or published at all, really), it's using settings and characters without permission from the owner.

Unfortunately it's very difficult to see how the Mongoose novels can legitimately see the light of day without Warners' express permission, which I would guess is very unlikely to be forthcoming now (making them bona fide 'lost tales') Perhaps they should never really have been commissioned in the first place. Personally I'm holding out for the inevitable resurgence of B5 and more 'real', properly licensed novels, along with a reprint of the old canon novels (I hope!)

Originally posted by vacantlook View PostSo, when Fordy said that Lulu took it down because of WB, was he just assuming it was because of WB, was he purposefully being deceptive in saying it was because of WB, or are those discussing this at the Mongoose boards mistaken?
I quote now:
"It's just Lulu who won't publish the book, apparently fan fiction violates their membership agreement. I don't actually know if it is Warner Brothers who contacted them, they just said 'the question of copyright ownership was brought to their attention.'
If anyone can think of an alternate online publisher I could always post Ranger Dawning on that, and then we'll find out just how bothered WB really is!"
