    All generalizations are false, including this one.

      "High levels of platinum, derinium, you name it, it's there."

      (Here's an idea IF anybody wants to do it. How about we take a small period where each of us chooses a character and restricts our quotes to that character for a short time - say three quotes or so. I got the idea from Phaze who did a turn of only quoting Marcus upthread.

      I'll pick Sinclair for my next three (at least) quotes. Anybody else?)

        I'll pick G'Kar;
        "Why does any advanced civilization seek to destroy a less-advanced one? Because the land is strategically valuable, because there are resources that can be cultivated and exploited, but most of all…simply because they can.

              This is Ben-Zed, god of food! And
              "There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

                  G'Kar: "It's an Earth food. They are called Swedish meatballs. It's a strange thing, but every sentient race has its own version of these Swedish meatballs! I suspect it's one of those great universal mysteries which will either never be explained, or which would drive you mad if you ever learned the truth."

                        "Apparently it's something they only do certain times of the year as part of their religious ceremonies. You may not believe this, but .. it was the most beautiful sound I've ever heard. I couldn't make out the words, but I knew it was full of sadness and .. hope and wonder and .. terrible .. sense of loss. I looked at Londo and - this is the amazing part - there was a .. tear running down his face. I said: 'Londo, we should leave.' And 'This is upsetting you.' He just stood there and .. listened. And when it was over he turned to me and he said: 'There are 49 gods in our pantheon, Vir. To tell you the truth I never believed in any of them. But if only one of them exist, .. then god sings with that voice.' It's funny. After everything we've been through, all he did, .. I miss him."

I'd look up at your lifeless eyes and wave like this. Can you and your associates arrange it for me, Mr. Morden?"

                              I'll take Ivanova:

                              "Good ol' Psi Corps. You guys never cease to amaze me! All the moral fiber of Jack the Ripper. What do you do in your spare time? Juggle babies over a fire pit?"
