  • Now, if I may ask, does this torment end when you leave, or am I going to have to spend the rest of my life paying for one little mistake?
What a wonderful world you live in. -
Yeah, well, the rent is cheap, the pay is decent and I get to make my own hours.

"You're a problem solver. You're one of these people who would pick up a rope that's gotten all tangled up and spend an entire day untangling it. Because it's a challenge, because it defies your sense of order in the universe, and because you can."

Don't- you're too young to experience that much pain.
"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "

"I think of my beautiful city in flames, the streets where I walked, the temples, the great crystal spires that sighed music when the wind touched them. I think of it, and I cry, Lennier. And I wonder, did I do this when I broke the Grey Council?"

                • The bitch of it is that you probably did the right thing. But you did it in the wrong way. In the inconvenient way. Now you have to pay the penalty for that. I know it stinks, but that's the way it is.
