The effect the change of captain had on the progression of the story has I'd guess been discussed to death but one area I'v not seen discussed much was the effect it had on the general tone of the show and the interaction of the characters. How would you say this was changed?

I'm gonna go with the Minbari theory of three here.
In every way, Sinclair the Religious one ... He was quiet, reserved, and spiritual. Calm, cool, collected, etc. The others looked to him not necessarily as the leader, but more like a teacher.
Sheridan was more Warrior, always going in guns blazing. Right from the beginning, we're told he was the guy responsible for blowing up a Minbari ship during the Earth-Minbari war. The others looked to him as the military commander/leader.
Lochley and Gideon ... well, they're more or less both Worker types.

I'd say it also moved the series a bit further away from what was typical of TV sci fi at the time. Sinclair was a similar kind of character to Picard IMHO, the moral superior of those around him who you suspected would find a solution to a problem. While Sheridan was more outwardly confident i'd say he was also more human and on the same kind of level as the characters around him.
I spose it partly switched Garibali and Ivanova's roles aswell moving one more into separate stories and the other closer to the central character.Who are you?
What do you want?
