  • SPOILERS - Babylon 5: The Road Home

Since some folks will be seeing the animated movie next week, here's a brand new thread. I would ask anybody posting actual spoilers here to still use the Spoiler Tags, please. It's that blank square in the upper right.

A post from JMS overnight might be a teensy bit spoiler-ish:

It absolutely leaves things on a happy note, with a bit of a surprise in terms of where and when and how that happens. Good thing is, you won't have to take my word for it: this coming weekend, between 2,000 and 3,000 fans (from the two screenings) will be able to confirm.

        It looked like
Sheridan directed the helm to do that
        , didn't it?

Perhaps.🤔 But who has the most experience with
          head-butting the pesky things?

Putting this here because there are some comment by Matt Peters that are semi-spoilers. But both roundtable items capture the joy of the movie. Warning: A LOT of background noise in both of these.

During SDCC I took part in a Roundtable with series Creator and Writer J. Michael Straczynski and Director Matt Peters for the pending Babylon 5: The Road Home. &nbsp

Placing this here so I can call it back easily. I'd asked JMS about why Maggie Egan wasn't the ISN voice once before and got the same answer with less detail. This is JMS' response to a fan who seemed to insist that Jason Carter be part of THE ROAD HOME regardless of how minor the part was.

Here's a quote from the SFX magazine article that alludes to my saying that there's no 'reset button' to the Animated movie. And also why
there might be the chance to see Marcus in the future
                      . ;

"If this one does well, Warners want to do more. We start with Sheridan in his own timeline, but there's also an alternate timeline where we have Sinclair, Sheridan, Ivanova and Lochley side by side, and all the characters are in their youth and available to us.

"That would be the core for any [films] going forward. It gives me the freedom to say, 'Alright, if I'm starting from zero and I have access to all the characters, what can happen next?' [Viewers familiar with the show] may know this universe and these characters, but now they don’t know what’s going to happen."

Here is something I noticed on the 1st viewing, and watched for it on the 2nd. JMS grinned when I asked him about it after the 2nd showing...
During the Archival Footage Scene of IPX on Z'ha'dum at the beginning of the film, Someone can be seen running down the hill in a little cloud of dust towards the IPX crew.

Also something I'll need to frame-by-frame on.
In one scene, Zathras is trying to say something but there is so much noise he cannot be heard. Is it possible to read his lips, and might it be two syllables?

...but then again, No One Listens To Zathras anyway...
"This is not a clear and present danger? I must read the rule book again."

Is it the alternate-timelines, or does it seem like several sites are naming the Shadow homeworld " Z'ha'dun " instead of " Z''ha'dum "? Then again, if one travels far enough, might there be even greater variations in how it is pronounced? Possibly even:
                              " Z'ha'boom "
"This is not a clear and present danger? I must read the rule book again."
