Well with the cost of developing any next gen game these days... it would probably be on both. Single platform games are getting to be a thing of the past.
I am also curious to hear about this. I just want to see a space based shooter in the vein of the one we nearly got. does not look likely, as that genre is all but dead these days. I guess i'll have to stick to all of the mods that are floating around out there.
(Disclaimer: Darth Librarian has spent years studying copyright on and off and knows very well that B5 mods of existing games are illegal and in breach of copyright law, but feels the need to mention them anyway. This is mainly because he thinks that they rock. That's his evil illegal opinion and his alone.)
I would put money on a MMORPG game, but would prefer to see something else. Star Trek and Stargate are getting them, and Warners would be more likely to fund one given given that the success of World of Warcraft has currently gained the public eye.
Thing is, one runaway success story out of 30+ products on the market is one thing. there are a lot of cool products coming out, and people are developing a lot of new cool looking ones, (Archlord, Warhammer and Age of Conan spring to mind.) The market place is very crowded, and folk only have enough time and cash to spring on one or two of these products at a time. If a product is too complex, or upsets its fans people will leave. Look at what happened to Star Wars Galaxies.
Also, if JMS is redeveloping the 'look and feel' of B5, then it would make sense to tie game development into that, especially given the high cost of 3D asset creation.
So if we do get an announcment, then expect it to be a bit later on down the line.
Actually, Archlord (http://www.archlordgame.com/) seems very cool. You get a chance to be elected ruler of the realm for a month and boss other players around!!

I personally think a B5 RPG would be perfect, but I'd prefer it on console.

What he said at SDCC was that they'd made the deal but the deal wasn't 'papered', which I take to mean that the agreement was in place but that the contracts weren't done.

yeah, well after the whole experience with Sierra you can hardly blame JMS for keeping schtum until the CD/DVDs/web-site is up and running.
BTW I'm too hungry to go looking for it now but I'll edit in a link to any comments JMS has about taht when I get a chance to rummage for it later.

Nothing so far, Poi. I was at that spotlight (it was where JMS announced The Lost Tales) and it sounded pretty immanent then but nothing's been said since then that I'm aware of.

Official B5 computer game?
Ain't It Cool News posted this back in July.
The other tidbit dealt with the question will there be a B5 computer game soon? Jms said he could not talk about it now, but that in two weeks expect something big to be announced. He hinted that if you ever wanted to live in the B5 universe, you might get your chance. Now, either thats a super holobrothel or a MMORPG. Im hoping for the former.
