Maybe not youtube, but I expect they will show up on the net, since that is where JMS said they would show up.
Fairly soon, probably starting late January, the director's blogs will start showing up on the net.
We're already two weeks into February, so I'm guessing something is holding them up. Hopefully they didn't scrape the idea of putting this out on the internet, but I can see with JMS's workload and jury duty and potential other issues that could've come up, that they simply haven't had to time to finish them up yet.

It's interesting; I'm so used to seeing rough footage of projects without all the digital elements finished, that part of my brain tends to compartmentalize it as not finished, but I suppose it's more difficult for some people to think of it that way. When I was in London a couple of weeks ago, I was shown some scenes from Stardust, and about half a second after my brain registered the fact that many of the digital elements were unfinished, I was able to to focus on the performances and the story, both of which were very well handled. For me, it's just a bonus, being able to look forward to the finished piece several months down the road.

That said, I can certainly see why some folks would be hesitant to show that kind of rough footage to an audience that is maybe not used to seeing it that way. I know people are frustrated about not seeing any new B5 material just yet, but at least it's something to look forward to.

Well, those blogs should be coming out any time now. Although obviously they didn't make the late January timeframe, hopefully it still will be released soon.

At this stage I'd just love to see anything - more set photos, concept art, a line from the script, photos of what the crew had for lunch, anything...

I'd settle a look at the redesigned (or should that be re-engineered ?) B5 and Star-furies...

Is that spelled correctly, or did you mean "porno footage?"

A brief scene without music, sound effects and dialogue properly mixed, and without the virutal sets and the rest of the CGI is worse than nothing
I don't know about that: Let's be creative.

Just give me a scene with John Sheridan, Galen, and (be still my lonely heart) Lockley over a green screen. Step two: insert background consisting of scenes from 1950's version of Dumbo the flying elephant. Understood?-flying elephant as background in place of B5 space station. Finish with background music: Grateful Dead:"Trucking".

    Viola: Happy campers*.

    John

*Suitable for others paronomasiacally inclined, also.

Careful Amy, this is awfully similar to the issue you have taken KoshN to task for over on B5TV.

Oh, and I meant to address this earlier: the way this is different is that 1) I haven't been going on and on and on, ad nauseum, for YEARS, flying in the face of conventional wisdom and piles of credible people telling me differently, and 2) I'm willing to admit that it's just because I'm ticked off that I won't get to see that promo footage (and I would have admitted it even if Joe hadn't called me out on it).
