I also seem to recall that Richard Biggs had a limp at some point in the episode as well, but if anybody wants to pull out the DVD and double-check, I'm perfectly happy to be corrected.
Zack's limp is in the script:

Zack approaches, and we see that he has a slight limp now.
I don't recall Franklin having a limp, particularly when he comes in from playing tennis. It does look a little like that, though, when he packs his medical bag and prepares to rejoin the others after examining Sheridan.

Thanks Jan; I didn't think it was fair to throw the question at you, although I knew you'd have the answer. Normally I'd go back and look myself, but I'm on deadline all weekend, so not as much time to fool around as I'd like.

Hey there fellow B5 fans. I hope you don't mind me using my first post here to interupt this discussion of the particulars of All in the Family.

I was listening to the Babylon Podcast of this week, and they had one of the three hosts of the show, Jeffrey Willerth, on, the guy who arranges most of their guest interviews, and was ProducerÆs Associate for B5, and the guy stuck inside the Kosh suit. If you look through the past episodes, they have a pretty impressive list of guests, so I'd say he has been doing his job well. Anyway, he was talking about future guests, and mentioned having talked with Doug Netter, and asked him to come on the show. And basically, he tells that Doug has been really busy with TLT work, and that also, Doug feels it isn't time at this moment to give more information and talk now, but he will probably be able to join them in a few weeks and tell more about what he is doing now. So we should get some more info soon on the Tales.

I'll transcribe the bit of what Jeffrey said in the 'cast, in case anyone doesn't want, or can't, listen to it.
Jeffrey: I do have one other bit of news on that subject. I, in my scrambling to get a guest, as you know, for the last several weeks I've been asking Doug Netter to join us. And Doug, for good reasons, has not been able to join us, as he has been busy on, you know, some things in the Babylon 5 world that Joe alluded to at Comic-Con. And Doug, again, was not able to join us tonight. But he was very clear that it wasn't time for him to say something. And, so we have sort of an agreement that he hoped that in just a couple more weeks, he would be able to speak more freely about the things that he can speak about, and, so, just know that's in the works. And we're hoping that he'll have some good stuff for us. In the coming weeks, we will get Doug on the line here with us.
I thought some of you might be interested.

just what I need. Another podcast to listen to in addition to my wife and I making our own. I guess that I need to quit my job just to get all of these extra things out of the way.

            Jeez, stifle yerself, Meathead!

Thanks for the info. It's cool to know that even if jms is busy with Ron Howard, that TLT is still moving forward with Doug Netter wheeling and dealing. It sound like B5 is finally getting the fast track star treatment from WB. Oh happy days.

                Thanks for the welcome.

I've actually been paying a bit closer attention to the podcast since TLT was announced, since they often have castmembers on, and, you know, maybe they would be able to extract some info from them. But sadly, I don't think they have had anyone on for a bit now, since Jeffrey has been busy with other stuff. But Doug should be able to give a very interesting interview, and since he feels he can speak openly with them in just a few weeks, it would seem like the production is moving along nicely.

That's excellent news indeed. At SDCC, JMS had said that they'd started looking for stages and tried getting any old costumes back-very few of those left compared to what they'd handed over at the end of the show. Since Doug is the dealmaker and financial guy, as I understand it, I'm sure that there's a lot he's involved in right now.

Keep us posted on anything else, okay? Thanks.

I'm sorry to throw this thread even more off topic, especially as a newbie, but... That's one hell of a, well, vile quote you have in your sig there LessonInMachismo. I'm not sure why, but I wasn't expecting that here. Maybe the fact that when I registered I agreed to not post in a hateful or threatening way made me expect not to see something that felt rather hateful and threatening to me.

I've been looking at it, and I can't seem to interpret it in any way other than a rather blatant discriminatory remark. Now, I know that the man you're quoting likes to paint his face as a clown, so maybe there is a joke there that I'm missing, but I can't see it being a particularly funny one.

I did look it up with google, just to see if it looked better in context, and give it the benefit of the doubt. This is what I found:
"This [Muslim] is a vile culture and if you think for a second that it's going to just live in the sands of God's armpit you've got another thing coming," he said."They want to come and live right where you live and they think that you're evil."
Which I guess it doesn't, and speaks of such a profound generalizing fearmongering ignorance that it, frankly, scares me.

I mean, I know that there are racist people out there, and that it is unrealistic to believe you can completely avoid them in life, but, I wasn't expecting it here, is all. My apologies again to the other posters. And maybe I'm reading it in the wrong way, in which case apologies to the poster. I've tried to be careful about not making any unwarranted assumptions since I'm a very new person here, and to carefully read what was written since I'm not a native English speaker. But I felt a need to speak out.

I'm sure Jan will weigh in on it as soon as she's back from WorldCon and reading the forums again.

                        • Thank you for the info AmyG. I've just send them a PM, and I'll just leave this matter at that.

I hope Jan will be having a very good time at WorldCon though.

                          • Hello, Shabaz! I was nice enough to reply to your remarks in this thread:

                            Have a wonderful day!
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.

                            • Returning to the topic at hand . . .

Posted by "Iva" on the moderated newsgroup --

                              From J. Michael Straczynski

As many of you may already know, a few days ago as I write this, I
canceled all of my convention appearances through February of next year due to the press of work, both in terms of finishing up work on my script for
Ron Howard, and in order to free up room to begin the process of writing,
producing, and directing the first in what we hope will be a series of new
Babylon 5 anthology episodes for DVD.

The other result of this is that we are going to push back volume nine
just far enough to make room for me to get these projects up and on the
rails. It will not be much of a delay, it will be a September release, but
the Babylon 5 scripts team and I wanted to make sure everyone knew about the delay, and that it is only a delay.

The good thing is that the delay is caused primarily by the creation
of new Babylon 5 episodes, to be produced with the original cast, which is a
cause for celebration on every level imaginable. We hope to follow up this
with another announcement with the September publication date for volume
nine as quickly as possible, so stay tuned, for as they say in the
television business...there is more to come.

I cannot vouch for the authenticity of this information, but no one on the newsgroup seems to doubt it and it does sound like JMS to me. So, a little more evidence that B5:TLT is moving foward at a decent clip.

                              • It's legitimate. It came from the B5 Scripts Team address, and was sent out to those who are on the alert list and (presumably) those who have bought scripts. No one but Iva was sensible enough to post it in the newsgroup -- my excuse is that I figured that anyone who needed to know it was already getting notified via the Scripts Team.
