Thanks, Jan, for the Dell and DelRay information.

I didn't realize there were already two publishers involved in the books published, and that I own! I caught that in JMS's post when reading it today, and thought: Oh, no : how ignorant am I?

I haven't gotten home to check my bookshelf, but I imagine I will find Dell next to DelRay, just as you predict. It was interesting to read JMS's past experience:

It truly sounds as if he's "been there and done that" already, and has true concerns about the Universe he created being consistent.

      I care that he cares.

Omaha; looks like Sprague has banned you from posting on the Mongoose Forums, it was starting to get a little bit hot there from what i could see.

I noticed that. It's funny. He is a liar. He's spewing out one lie after another, covering it up, backpeddling, trying to make it sound like everybody BUT him is a bad guy, denying what he himself said on the podcast, saying it must have been an error in the transcript that JMS read.

He doesn't want people to know he's FULL OF SHIT, so instead of coming clean and just saying "My bad", he bans me. Like that's really going to accomplish anything. If I fall, another will take my place. And another. And another. On and on.

He really just doesn't understand Babylon 5 fans at all.

Well, in the interest of accuracy, it should be noted that he was responding to you quite politely until he saw your post here that you had gone there to be a 'thorn in his side'. Sorry, Omaha, I don't think that was very cool, either.

One of the unwritten rules of the Internet is "thou shalt not hold what one electronic entity says against another independent electronic entity." The OmahaStar of this forum may not be the same as the one in other fora. Bad cess on Sprague and Mongoose.

Hell, i could go anywhere I wanted and register as whatever Sprague uses on his home forum and spew whatever I wanted, and he would be quite right to complain that he was being misrepresented.

The fact that in this case he was right is no real defense.
I believe that when we leave a place, part of it goes with us and part of us remains. Go anywhere in the station, when it is quiet, and just listen. After a while, you will hear the echoes of all our conversations, every thought and word we've exchanged. Long after we are gone .. our voices will linger in these walls for as long as this place remains. But I will admit .. that the part of me that is going .. will very much miss the part of you that is staying.

It's Sprange. And I'm sorry but baloney. The man's not stupid and when one 'OmahaStar' behaves badly on his home forum and then comes to another and brags about it, it's entirely within reason to respond as he did. People seem to think that bad manners are somehow allowable on the Internet and I don't buy it.

[EDIT] And btw, Omaha was very confrontational but didn't behave too badly. I don't think Matthew Sprange would have done anything if he hadn't seen the post over here.

Why does there always have to be so much "drama" involved when it comes to anything B5 related.

Fans of anything tend to be pretty passionate folks whether its of sports or comics of SF/Fantasy or anything else. When you care about something you tend to be protective of it, hence, the 'drama'.

To be fair, compared to many of the internet 'communities' out there, ths one is pretty calm.

You want to see REAL loonies? Look at some of the Computer/game console 'communities', particularly the Neo Geo and Atari Jaguar ones.

Don't forget the passions of quilts. I use to work with a lady that is REALLY into making quilts, entering local quilt competitions, hoping to advance to the state nationals then regionals. It was hard to maintain a polite demeanor as she explained the minutae of everything quilt.

"I gotta use the restroom." This was one of the more polite ways I could use to break away from the World of Quilts History class.
