Gonna watch some border hoppers showing you how it's done, DougO?
Recently, there was a reckoning. It occurred on November 4, 2014 across the United States. Voters, recognizing the failures of the current leadership and fearing their unchecked abuses of power, elected another party as the new majority. This is a first step toward preventing more damage and undoing some of the damage already done. Hopefully, this is as much as will be required.
I'm planning to attend. The San Diego Comic-Con and Dragon*Con in Atlanta are my two regular conventions each year.
Cool, I'll hope to touch base with you sometime during the weekend. I don't see much in the way of media guests yet but it seems that they announce those closer to the con. This will be my first time so I'm looking forward to it.
That would be great. We'll have to plan a place and time.
Great. I'll look forward to it.
I'll be interested to hear what you think. It's a fun convention but is very different from a con such as Dragon*Con.
I've been looking around for a site where 'newbies' can learn the lay of the land with no success so far. Being at the Convention Center I wasn't expecting much in the way of after hours stuff. I'm staying about 4 miles away anyway. I'll miss the intimacy of the fan-run cons, though. One of my favorite memories is of Vor-Con in Vancouver BC a few years ago.
It seems like every year there are major announcements made at SDCC so I'm looking forward to that, along with the mix of comics and media and even literary guests. A few friends are sending their shopping lists with me, too--nothing better than spending other people's money!
