You know you've been watching too much B5 when....
Sometimes my commute to and from work seems like a trip to the homeworld via several jump gates
Sometimes I want to include a B5 reference when I'm explaining something to someone. Of course, the reference would have to be explained in context, .....
You know you've been watching too much Babylon5 when...
... you wave at people you don't like with your fingers ... (thinking about a nice pike waiting for their head in the garden at the Royal Palace)
... instead of saying "God Dammit!", you say "Great Maker!"
... you quote G'Kar on 'Bon-Voyage' and good luck cards at going away parties ... "each voice enriches and enobles us and each voice lost diminshes us"
... you now toast family members who have passed at Holiday gatherings "to absent friends (& family) in memory still bright"
... you know G'Kar's speech word for word when he was kicked off of the council and became Citizen G'Kar:
"No dictator, no invader, can hold an imprisoned population by the force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against that power governments, and tyrants, and armies can not stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free."
... when you think twice about ants ... wondering if they truly are looking up at you and saying to another, "What was that?"
"If I could be a bird, I'd be a Flying Purple People Eater because then people would sing about me and I could fly down and eat them because I hate that song. " - Jack Handey
Not a contribution, more an observation

"There are no good wars. War is always the worst possible way to resolve differences. It degenerates and corrupts both sides to ever more sordid levels of existence, in their need to gain an advantage over the enemy. Those actively involved in combat are almost always damaged goods for the rest of their lives. If their bodies don't bear scars, their minds do, ofttimes both. Many have said it before, but it can't be said to enough, war is hell. "
You know you're watching too much B5 when you're talking with some people about getting together and you start singing "And we'll all be together in a better place..."
And, you know they've been watching too much when they start to hit you.
"That was the law, as set down by Valen. Three castes: worker, religious, warrior."
You know you've been watching too much Babylon 5 when:
You rate a common tv gueststar's significance by whether or not they ever appeared on B5.
You mentally give yourself bonus points for recognizing said actor out of make-up.
"Sector 87 by 20 by 42. At least a dozen ships have reported seeing something rather godlike in the area, and since neither you nor I were there, it must be one of the first ones." -- Marcus to Ivanova (J. Michael Straczynski)
