    Hello everyone + B5 questions

    Hello everyone,

    I'm the new member!
    I'm French, I'm fond of B5, I'm 24 and do a master in Ancient History.

    I've received the volume 6 of JMS B5 scripts this morning, and I was surprised because I saw a picture of G'Kar's costume made this year, and I thought that all the B5 costumes had been destroyed after the show was over!!

    I'm telling you this because I'm looking for several years now to get the *real* Delenn and Bester's costumes (those which were used during the shooting of the series)! Does anyone know were I can find them? Are they for sale ?

    If I can't buy them, does anyone of you here knows where I can find their patterns with precise indications of which materials were used for me to do them myself?
    I've looking for them on the Internet, but just found indications on a webpage about fan-made costumes which are good, yes, but that's not always the good materials and method to get the *exact* replica of the costumes of the show...

    Well, the photo was taken at the Museum of Television & Radio but we don't know for certain that it's part of a display there or if they borrowed it from WB. I *think* that most times costumes aren't destroyed, they just kind of go into a 'pool' at the studio in case something similar is needed. That may apply to just common looking ones, though.

    Not that I'm aware of. A very few genuine costumes did come up for auction from WB once and went for (as I recall) $6-10,000 each. None for Delenn or Bester, though, I think. JMS sold a replica uniform he'd had made for himself last year and it sold for over $10,000.

    No idea, I'm afraid. I wonder if you might try to see if you can locate the B5 costumer online and contact her? I'm pretty sure her name is Ann Bruice Ailing but you can check the end credits from any episode of B5 to check.

      Wow, which Museum of Television & Radio site, New York or LA? The one in New York has or had Star Trek NG stuff for years... Did it change to Babylon 5?

        The party JMS went to was in LA and that's where he saw the G'Kar costume. It was in Volume 7, the tribute he wrote for Andreas that he told about seeing it.
