RIP, General Franklin
Paul Winfield, who will be known to Fivers as Dr. Franklin's father, General Franklin from the episode GROPOS, passed away Monday due to a heart attack. The 62 year old actor will also be familiar to genre fans as Captain Terrell from Star Trek 2, and Dathon from the Star Trek: TNG episode "Darmok".
He was a champion of African-American rights as well as gay rights (his partner passed away in 2002).
