She's the kind of person who likes to jump to conclusions or ask me questions 2 seconds -to- 5minutes before they explain it. . . I have to keep reminding her to stay quiet and WATCH

Finished with disc 5 of Season 2.

I love the burgeoning relationship of Sheridan and Delenn. With so many things going on, I was beginning to wonder if there would be any new relationships we see start.

Talia and Garibaldi's came to a dead stop because of the sleeper personality takeover, a brilliant development.

Funniest moment: Garibaldi's physical reaction to the secret codeword "revealing" himself as the traitor. LOL. He remains my favorite character thus far.

Londo's incremental progression of evil is amazing. I like him because he's very affable. But, slowly he makes concessions, comprises his soul little by little, and every so often you still get a glimpse of the goodness in Londo.

I like the beginnings of more info on the Rangers. I likey what I see so far. They are definitely interesting.

Draal as an ally. Yes!

Disc 6 is going in NOW.

Comes the Inquistor
Delenn's ordeal: I wanted so much for her to pass the interrogation/torture. Her words hit the mark about The Inquisitor because he was lashing out at her.
Sheridan & Delenn are the Chosen. Yes! Their ordeal, I think, brings them closer still, strenthening the beginnings of love between them. I hope they swap spit, and soon.
Jack the Ripper = Inquisitor. Very clever twist. I likey.

The Fall of Night
The Nightwatch org is NOT for the good of the people.
Sheridan practicing his "apology," in his room, to the Centauri was great; it made me laugh out loud. This episode showed his mettle. His character is not dictatorial but authoritative and kind. And, he's ready to whoop a$$ if your deserving.
Kosh saving Sheridan affected me greatly, tears flooded my eyes. I don't know why I had this reaction, puzzling, really.

And here's what really would have happened if everything unfolded as originally planned for the hidden personality that was in Talia. Note: I'm assuming you've watched the pilot movie "The Gathering." Also note: there are no spoilers in the following for anything in seasons three, four, or five; so, you're safe from that.

Just in case you started with "Midnight on the Firing Line" and didn't watch the pilot, I'll put some space so you can avoid reading, if that's your choice.

Highlight to read:

Ok, here's what the design was originally going to be regarding the hidden personality that was inside Talia. In the original plan, the hidden personality was going to be inside Lieutenant-Commander Laurel Takashima -- the character who in the pilot held the position that Ivanova has in the series. It was originally planned that Takashima would have that hidden "Control" personality in her, and that it would, through her be what enabled the Minbari assassin onto the station in "The Gathering," it would have been Takashima that shot Garibaldi in the back at the end of season one in "Chrysalis," and it would have all eventually come out sometime during season two. Takashima's character would have then been taken out not too unlike Talia's was, and a young, dour Russian named Ivanova, who we would have seen up to that point working in a position next under Takashima in the chain of command on the station assend to the position to replace her. But with the huge amount of time that occurred between production of "The Gathering" and the first episode of the series, the contracts with characters expired or were written to allow renegotiation or some such, which caused several characters, including Takashima, from being ported over to the series, as you probably noticed in watching. So, with Takashima no longer available due to lack of the actor, Ivanova's character was just bumped up from where she was going to originally appear and made into a personnel transfer to replace a reassigned Takashima, and the hidden personality plot was held in reserve as a possible means to take out any character associated with any other actors that they might lose throughout the course of the show. Talia happened to be the one to get it when Andrea Thompson wanted off the show.

i haven't watched The Gathering, yet. it should be arriving from Netflix tomorrow <fingers crossed> with disc 1 of Season 3 <toes crossed>.

Finished with The Gathering movie/pilot episode. It was decent. Tomorrow Netflix delivers Babylon 5: Season 1, disc 1. Yay! In the recorded history of 'Yays,' it's a pretty big 'Yay.'

That's generally what I suggest to newbies. Season One has not aged well, and does not really give you the flavor of the show. Season Two actually serves as a better introduction.
