Is it surprising that the history of humankind has been defined by conflict when the average human will make such a fuss over matching socks? I haven't worn a matching pair in years and have, if anything, benefitted from this.
Ps I button, I zip, I zip, I button. Am I worse off for having no preference?
About the links:
The way I see it there are two models.
At the beginning of the series, when a link was reported stolen, it was deactivated. The drazhi could use the link because Ivanova was kidnapped and couldn't report anything.
By S3 Exogenesis, the had new, better links with the DNA recognition thingie, and that's why Marcus couldn't use Franklin's.
About the rotation/gravity thing... no idea really. I'll trust you
Bravery is simply apathy with delusions of grandeur (Emperor Mollari II)
hi all, first post here, hopefully ill be around, but im a better lurker than not.
the techno nitpick that I will toss out there is CnC gravity...based on its non rotating location they should be zero G right? So how come they have what looks like full G.
I have no viable theory that does not include Mimbari artificial G technology which as I understand was not widely known about until Sheriden first boarded the Whitestar, he was surprised by the artificial G.

The CnC does rotate. Its artifical gravity is about the same as on Mars. If they wanted to the people should be able to jump to the roof.
is that mentioned in an episode or someplace else?
I'll have to go back and watch the whole series again just to confirm this ya know
Welcome, Arconin! Yes, of course you should watch the entire series again immediately. You never know, they might have changed it at some point in the season.
Seriously, yours isn't an uncommon question. Here is where JMS answers it and says:
>#I'm just curious about how C&C has normal gravity when it is located in
>the center of the spinning station. In the fall of Night (And other
>episodes) it is established that the middle of the station is low grav.
It isn't. The center is the docking bay. C&C is one-third of the way below
that, so it has about 1/3rd gravity, so a 200 pound person weigs 66 pounds, not
likely to go floating around.
I often wondered why the stars outside c&c didn't spin. I thought that maybe it wasn't a window, rather a viewscreen but then what would the points in having c&c at the edge of the station and blastdoors etc. But every time they show an effects shot through the window (eg And Now For a Word when two starfurys fly past) the stars outside spin. I think the truth of it is (to comletely misquote jms), c&c spins at the speed of budget.

Your last comment (budget) was correct. To do the starfield "correctly" without CGI would have taken too much room, and would have cost too much to do via CGI. (taken from a JMS commentary).
Next techno subject. Was anyone else pretty unconvinced by the forced perspective central coridoor set?
Don't you mean to ask "was anyone convinced by the forced perspective central corridor set?"
I actually wonder if it was built to represent the actual scale... maybe it is not a forced perspective, but one that forces us to readjust our perception?
(Actually I doubt it was built to what would be the actual size of the station)
Such... is the respect paid to science that the most absurd opinions may become current, provided they are expressed in language, the sound of which recalls some well-known scientific phrase
James Clerk Maxwell (1831-79)
I liked what they tried to do- very ambitious for a relatively low budget science fiction series. It would have been nice if they had computer rendered a few people off in the distance up the curve of the corridor (like when Garibaldi and Lennier drive the Minbari fuel powered motorbike through it in season one). It would have been more convincing if the corridor didn't suddenly lose all movement at the same point.
